Dr. Salvador co-founded Mirai Solar, a solar energy company that expands the utilization of solar energy beyond conventional applications. Mirai Solar invented the Mirai Screen, a lightweight and foldable electricity generating shade screen to dramatically improve the energy use efficiency of greenhouses and smart buildings for a sustainable future.
Dr. Salvador is a Technology Lead at KAUST Solar Center (KSC), where his focus is on moving transformational energy technologies out of the lab and into the real-world applications. KSC is one of the world's largest and best equipped academic centers for solar energy research and technology, supporting a broad research portfolio of collaborative projects. KSC’s mission is to create new science and technology in the field of solar energy conversion and provide an environment for interdisciplinary research, training and innovation. Research at KSC includes emerging photovoltaic technologies, materials design, modeling, synthesis, and characterization to processing and solar cell fabrication.
