Acting Executive Director of Monitoring & Risk Assessment since July 2021. He holds several positions in the SFDA, he is the Secretary-General of the Saudi National Nutrition Committee NNC at Saudi Food and Drug Authority since May 2021. Director of the same Committee since November 2019. A Chief Specialist at SFDA since Sept 2017. Senior Dietitian since Jan 2006 at SFDA.
He worked previously as a Manager of the Risk Exposure Assessment Department at Saudi FDA since 2013. Dr. Majid obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Glasgow in 2017.
The SFDA ensures the safety of food and drugs for people and animals, the safety of biological and chemical substances as well as electronic products. Its mission is to protect the community through regulations and effective controls to ensure the safety of food, drug, medical device, cosmetic, pesticide and feed. Its vision is to be a leading international science-based regulator to protect and promote public health. As Acting Director of Monitoring and Risk Assessment, Dr Alkhalaf in addition, holds multiple positions within the SFDA with an emphasis on nutrition.
