Dr. GUSTAVO E. DIAZ 

 

Agriculture and Water Resources Specialist, the World Bank (IBRD), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations

Dr. Díaz has more than 40 years of experience in environmental, watershed management and water resources engineering. Initially his work encompassed the design and construction of large water development projects, research and teaching in hydrology and integrated water resources systems analysis.  

 

Later he focused on the preparation of complex environmental, water and agriculture sector studies, including the recommendation of international-best-practice policy options for more sustainable water and agriculture sectors.  

 

More recently his work focuses on the integration of natural resources (mostly land and water) within broad national development policy frameworks, including the implementation/adaptation of governmental high-level policies into government’s day-to-day administration and planning activities.
